How long does the background check process take?

The normal processing time is 48-72 hours or 2-3 business days. The process may take longer during the high-volume months of September, October, January, and May. Also, if you have lived in multiple states, it may take longer to process your request.

Completing a background screen involves checking court records which unfortunately is not electronically done in every jurisdiction in the country. Several still have manual processes in place and whether you have a record or not, we have to search court records to confirm there is/is not any criminal information.

Once you submit your background check, you may check the estimated time of arrival (ETA) in the Applicant Portal. A notification will be emailed to you and the company for which you applied as soon as the report is complete.

Please note the ETA is just an estimate and there could be court delays that prevent us from meeting the estimated time of completion.
