How do I access the Applicant Portal to view my results?

If you’ve placed an order for a background check, drug test, physical exam, or other service with Bchex, you can easily check the status through our Applicant Portal.

How to Sign In

  1. Go to the Applicant Portal.

  2. Enter the email address associated with your order.

  3. Click “Sign In.”




You’ll then receive an email from noreply@auth.chexauth.com with two ways to access your account:

  • Magic Link: Click the link in the email to be logged in automatically.

  • 6-Digit Code: Alternatively, you can enter the 6-digit code provided in the same email.

You’ll receive an email similar to the example below.
(Note: For security, links and codes in your actual email will be unique to your session.)

Entering the Code Manually

If you prefer to use the code instead of the Magic Link:

  1. Return to the Applicant Portal page where you started your login.

  2. Enter the 6-digit code from your email.

  3. Click Submit Code to access your account.


If you see an error message that says:

“You must open this link in the same browser that you used to provide your email”

This means the Magic Link was opened in a different browser or device than the one where you first entered your email.

How to fix this:

  • Option 1: Go back to the original browser window where you entered your email and enter the 6-digit code from the email instead.

  • Option 2: Copy the Magic Link from the email and paste it into the original browser window where you initiated the sign-in process.

Once you do either of these steps, you’ll be able to access your Applicant Portal successfully.



Didn’t Receive an Email?

If you do not receive the email:

  • Double-check that you entered the correct email address associated with your Applicant Portal account.

  • If an account does not exist for that email, no code or Magic Link will be sent.



Receive an Error?

If you provide an email that does not have a matching account, you’ll see an error message that says:

“Login failed. Please try again or contact Client Services for assistance. EM:1”

This indicates that an Applicant Portal account has not yet been created for that email address.  Follow the steps below to create an account.



Need to Create an Account?

If you don’t yet have an account, click “Create Account” on the Applicant Portal login page and follow the prompts to set one up.

Make sure to check your spam or junk folder if you don’t see the login email within a few minutes.
