My applicant does not have a social security number, or refuses to provide one. Can a background check still be processed on him/her?

It is up to your organization if you will accept the application without a social security number.  Please understand that we cannot guarantee a full and complete background check without this information.  We use this information for a variety of reasons, but most importantly to track past possible addresses, names and date of birth for the applicant in order to help verify information entered by the applicant, and add jurisdictions to the order to check for possible records.

If the applicant does not wish to provide/does not have a social, please contact Client Services with options on how to proceed.
