About Applicant Express
Applicant Express allows you to send an invitation to an applicant so they can securely enter their own information for a background check.
This process includes a digitally signed authorization form, completed by the applicant during submission—eliminating the need to collect a paper authorization form.
To initiate an Applicant Express request, you only need the applicant’s:
Full name
Email address
Creating an Applicant Express Request
From the left navigation panel, go to New Orders > Background Check Orders.
Note: Applicant Express is currently available only for background check orders and not for occupational health services.
Select the Search Option / Package you wish to order.
Once selected, the Applicant Express option will appear below the package selection.

Enter the applicant’s name and email address.
You may also enter a phone number (optional).
If a phone number is provided, you will have additional delivery options for the invitation:
Send via Text Message (SMS)
Send via Both Email and Text
You may choose to:
Send a copy of the email to yourself
Select Email from Applicant Express if you want the email to be sent from BIB
Send the email from your own email program instead

A preview of the message and text sent to the applicant will appear on the left side of the screen.
You may edit the email and text message content as needed; however:
Do not edit the login credentials
Text messages are limited to 150 characters
If you would like to permanently update the default email template, please contact clientservices@bchex.io.

Click Submit to send the request to the applicant.

Once the applicant completes the application, their name will no longer appear in the Applicant Express list. Instead, the order will move to Background Check Orders.

The rightmost column displays the expiration status of the Applicant Express credentials.
Yellow: Credentials will expire within 3 days
Red: Credentials have expired and must be deleted and resent
